Feeling Like A Guilty Daughter
Author: Dorree Lynn, PhD
Twelve months ago I placed my mother (she was 87) in a nursing home after a fall because she couldn’t walk, something she’d kept hidden from me. She died April 10th from pneumonia and the time she was in the facility was the worst of her life.

Trying To Get My Groove Back
Author: Dorree Lynn, PhD
Sexuality/Sensuality certainly is major for me. I just celebrated my 59th birthday, and am very amazed and glad to be in the 60th year of this wonderful life. However, since a double mastectomy and reconstruction two years ago, have not been "in the mood" for sex with my husband.

My boyfriend of one

Men Have Feelings Too
Author:
I’m 55 and five years ago, I discovered my wife was seeing another man. What a half century birthday present that was. We split and I raised our two teenagers who are now off at college. OK, so this year I started dating through the internet and went on two blind dates. Dr. D, I know men are supposed to have it easy, but the women I met just don’t get how scared I am.

Staying Positive with a Diagnosis
Author:
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when I was 41. I am now 54 and I use a wheelchair. The first 6 years after the diagnosis were very much uneventful. However the rest of the time has been one flare-up or exacerbation after another, all having a crippling effect of one kind or another. I try to remain positive, but that is so hard to do.

Many of my peers have urged me to consider retiring but I just can't fathom the thought of being home all day. What do you recommend? Is this all due to getting older?

Starting Over
Author:
I have been divorced for 22 years and have been alone (meaning without a relationship). My children are grown and with 2, not much contact. My youngest - we are always in touch. I think my older 2 spend time in the past and when we do talk it comes up. I don't want to go back, maybe I don't have 22 years left so I want to spend them in the future. Had to give you some history.
