“Dress your style, not your age.” There really aren’t any hard and fast rules for dressing as a FiftyPlus. If you aren’t sure what your style is, get some help. It will be worth it. Most importantly, do not try to look as if you are competing with Lindsey Lohan, your teenage daughter, or anyone in their early twenties. It’s silly. You’ve been there, done that.

Looking for a new way to feel rejuvenated? I have seen some amazing changes in people over 50 who use a new rhythmic process called TaKeTiNa to facilitate health and wellness; Believe it or not, wonderful inner and outer changes are possible with rhythm as the guiding force!

Do you know that old adage about God closing one door and opening another? Well, not being a particularly religious gal, I never gave it much credence, until it happened to me. Back in 1988, I had already experienced three successful careers: English teacher, soap-opera actress and financial broker.

If you decorate your house in lots of black, some would say that you are easily depressed. I have to agree. I also happen to think that people who decorate their homes in browns are pretty boring folks like accountants or librarians. In fact, when I tried to look up some fun facts about the color brown, I came up empty handed.

Welcome to the future: like it or not, cell phones are here to stay. Just try to find a pay phone. If you’re in Paris and can actually find a cabine, your money is worthless. You’ll need a télécarte, a plastic phone card you can buy at any of the city’s ubiquitous tabacs that also sell cigarettes, parking cards, books of Métro cards, stamps, and lotto tickets.
