NATIONAL SECURITY; PAT DOWN OR PORN?

This is the busiest travel time of the year. I’m accustomed to air travel and do so frequently, sometimes as much as every week. So far, I usually manage to avoid airport scans and haven’t had a single pat down. But who knows when this might change? I’ve also traveled outside the USA where security is often handled with greater compassionate care. Living in constant “red alert” which produces panic makes no sense to me. I’ve often wondered if when the security sign is orange or red, if that means I’m supposed to hand in my ticket and stop traveling that day. I don’t.

According to a recent national poll, more Americans are in favor of our new security procedures than not. I am not at all that trusting of polls of any kind. There’s a familiar saying; figures lie and liars figure.  What I’m sure of, is that at least for me, the latest airport security requirements seem un-American. At least, I’m sure they are unconstitutional. Savvy sexiness can be chosen. I doubt that it has much to do with national security. What do you think?

Enjoy the holidays whatever your position. Pun intended.
